St. Mary the Virgin, Hurley

Helen and Peter will be getting married at 12:30pm in the church of St. Mary the Virgin, in Hurley.
Please
make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start.
There is ample parking at the church. And it is next
to the River Thames, so feel free to go for a pre or post-wedding wander down to Hurley Lock.
The
full address is:
The Old Vicarage, High Street, Hurley, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 5NB.
PLEASE NOTE: The vicar has advised that the only confetti they don't like to see being
thrown are those shiny metal sequins / stars. Apparently, they look wonderful at the time, but are a complete nuisance to
clean up afterwards. Anything else is fine (especially fivers).
AN IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PARKING:
Having undertaken a
number of reckies during the last month, we have discovered that parking in Hurley, particularly on Saturdays, can be a slight
pain in the bum. This is mainly because the kayakers and canoeists dominate the car park opposite the church, taking advantage
of its close proximity to the river. Alas, there is no obvious way we can resolve this, apart from asking an usher to arrive
at the crack of dawn with a hi-vis jacket and baseball bat (Dan?).
So our
best advice is to arrive early. Hurley is a lovely village with nice walks along the river just moments away. So you won't
be short of something to do to kill the time until we start ushering people into the church.
Also, it is worth noting that Hurley High Street has a number of parking bays (free
of charge) spreading up to half a mile from the church. So if the car park is full, these are the next best alternative. Just
be prepared for a short walk.
